On behalf of the entire team I want to express my sincere appreciation for your generosity in support of the Koanga Institute. Your personal commitment is incredibly helpful and allowed us to grow seeds and research ways for home gardeners to increase resilience by producing nutrient dense food in their own backyards. Your assistance means so much to us.

Thank you from all of us. We could not do this important work without you!

Wish List

The following is a list of items that would assist us with our production. If you no longer require any of these items and choose to donate them to us we would be very grateful.

  • Old cotton sheets (we use these when we harvest and process many of our seeds)

Bequests

A bequest is a method of making a lasting gift to a cause or issue that you feel strongly about. It can make your caring last for future generations.

In order to ensure that your gift has lasting value it is important to choose a project or organisation that fits with your values and beliefs. Koanga Institute will gratefully accept any bequests, we are happy to talk with you to ensure that you have a say in how your donations are spent.

By making a bequest to the Koanga Institute you will be supporting us to continue our important work. This gift is one that you may not be able to make during your lifetime, but will ensure that our heritage plants are available for future generations as a resource for cultivation and genetic diversity. The Institute relies on generous contributions, our membership fees and royalties from associated small businesses for support. In these changing times it feels very important that we continue to flourish and grow. We are very good at making a little money go a long way.

You can be certain that your final act of generosity will help make a real difference for New Zealanders. Big or small, your bequest will be greatly appreciated. It will help us continue our seed saving and education to look after New Zealand communities, now and for future generations.

Thank you for taking time to consider us. For further information please contact us via:
